We Are the Modeling of Other.
We Are the
Modeling of Other.
In the Age
of Social Media. People increasingly get to have the Sence Of
Authorship over How they presence themselves to the World. You
carefully created your Instagram feed, Your Facebook profile pictures, these are the ways through which you present yourself. You get to construct the way that other people perceive you and this raises all kind
of question about the fluidity of our identity.
About how we interface with other peoples minds and it raises all kind of Question about authentic exchange. So now also The Same question arises WHO AM I.
SO the philosopher whose last name is Cooley he wrote, and he was a sociologist and he wrote about the Looking Glass Self-Theory.
Basically what he said is that we will become , through the interaction that we have with other people by making models of the other person's mind, In other words he says I am not who I think I am, I am not who you think I am,
By
all these we make rendering of what other people think of us and
actually play the role of becoming we think they think we are but at end
of the day also we are not able to catch people Mind ,about What They
Think of us. So Again we are on The same track not having any answer
about Who Am I?
